Bibles For Cuba

Old cars, cigars and baseball. This is what Cuba is popularly known for, but there’s something else I want to add to that list: Jesus.
As I took off from Havana last Saturday, I was both tired and exhilarated. For the past week, I’d been traveling throughout Cuba and meeting new believers and faithful saints.
One thing is clear: Christ is on the move.
At one stop, I was shocked to hear the head of the Communist party talk about the importance of churches and having Bibles. Before I left, he even gave me a locked-down, big bear hug on stage and whispered in my ear “God bless you.”
At another church, we handed out 860 Bibles to people who had been waiting their whole lives to have their own copy of God’s Word. The packed room erupted in cheers and dancing!
See for yourself . . .

These Bibles were given by friends like you in the United States and Canada. As we handed out thousands of Bibles, I couldn’t help but think that this was just the beginning.
The greatest revival in the Western Hemisphere today is taking place in Cuba, but people there are still desperately in need of God’s Word.
Last year, we raised enough to send 67,000 Bibles to Cuba. This year, I believe the Lord is calling us to exceed that number. Will you join me in getting the Word of God into the hands of those who need it?
Just $5 covers the printing and delivery of one hardback Bible printed on high quality India paper that will last for years in Cuba’s hot, humid climate.
Whatever you can send, I am confident the Lord will use it. And every dollar of your gift to Bibles For Cuba will be used to provide the Word of God to bless His people. We do not take a handling fee—not a dime for Haven!
So would you consider giving $1,000 to send 200 Bibles to Christians in Cuba? Or $25 for 5 Bibles? I’m even praying that God will raise up people to give $10,000 to send 2,000 Bibles.
Please pray about this opportunity to bless the people of Cuba with the most significant gift we could possibly give them—God’s Word.

As the leader of the Haven Ministries, Charles Morris is always thinking of ways to lead Christians and non-Christians to Christ—hence the familiar slogan, “Telling the great story … it’s all about Jesus.” Charles is a former secular journalist, who has worked for United Press International, and as a press secretary for two former U.S. senators. He began working in the Christian world after seminary, becoming the fourth speaker of Haven in 2000. He and his wife, Janet, have written several books, including Missing Jesus.

  • Bro. Charles: I’m moved by the Holy Spirit to partner with you and Heaven in mobilizing my congregation to get behind the Bibles for Cuba effort. This is Cuba’s time! With the word of God the doors that have been opened to this island nation can and will produce transformation and change for the glory of God! Cuba will become a Christian nation!! I will be challenging my church, My Friend’s House, AG, in Whittier, to raise at least $1,000.00 for 200 bibles, and perhaps even more in the coming weeks. I’m also moved by your video to pray about joining you in your next trip to Cuba to help you distribute those bibles to our Cuban brothers and sisters. I’m of Puerto Rican decent and speak fluent Spanish. It would be my joy and honor to travel there and help distribute those bibles to my Cuban brethren. Please contact me if it would be possible to join you on your next trip to Cuba. Of course, I will bare my costs for such a trip. Thank you, and blessings.

Charles…Is the “Bibles for Cuba” program still active?

    • Corum Hughes says:

Hi Robert. We concluded the “Bibles for Cuba” campaign a few weeks ago so we could make the final order for Bibles. Charles plans to return next hear, so there will be more opportunity to help Christians in the country.

When are you going back to Cuba?

  • Noel Gorogo says:

    Hi Charles,
Do they need missionaries in Cuba? I would be willing to volunteer as one. Can you accept money sent on Western Union.
    Respond through my email too.

I would like to know if and when you are heading up your next trip to Cuba to distribute Bibles in 2017? Will it be a Mission Trip open to those of us who would love to be a part of this move? At my own cost of course. If you are not planning on going back, could you please put me in touch with a group that you might know of?
I visited Cuba, as part of an educational trip back in 1970 and made a promise I would return. This was long before I became a Christian but now belief it was prophetic. I would love to share a bible and the Gospel with our Cuban neighbors!

    • Corum Hughes says:
