Charles Simeon was a man who believed in the power of God’s Word and preached it in a time when the Gospel was rarely heard from pulpits. His ministry may have taken place 200 years ago, but his story deserves to be told and retold today.
On this episode of the Great Stories podcast, David Wollen is joined by Randall Gruendyke to discuss the impact God made through the life and ministry of Charles Simeon. You may not know his name or what he did, but, by the end of this conversation, you’ll discover why this historical giant of the faith is a person every Christian should know.

Find strength in their stories!
When faith is weak or the pressures of the world seem overwhelming, remembering the great men and women of the past can inspire us to renewed strength and purpose. Our spiritual struggles are not new, and so the stories of those who have gone before us can help lead the way to our own victories.
50 People Every Christian Should Know gives a glimpse into the lives and ministries of such people as Charles H. Spurgeon, G. Campbell Morgan, A. W. Tozer, Fanny Crosby, Amy Carmichael, Jonathan Edwards, James Hudson Taylor, and many more. Combining the stories of fifty of these faithful men and women, beloved author Warren W. Wiersbe offers today’s readers inspiration and encouragement in life’s uncertain journey.

Was so happy to see Haven for Today in my e mail address. I looked forward to hearing him I never did meet him personally but their was something about his voice and his honesty while he was on the air. He sure is missed but I know that David will be picking up where he left off.
Since the conversion from Charles to David he went off the Air and found him on a different station both together. He is surely missed. A follower in Christ.
