"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you."
(JOHN 14:26)

John 14:25-27
God can use human counselors to guide us through difficult times. But God Himself is the great Counselor. When Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and departed from this earth, He did not leave us alone. Even before He had gone, He told His disciples of the Holy Spirit who would guide, comfort and counsel.

Jesus is called “Wonderful Counselor” in Isaiah 9:6. And in today’s Scripture passage Jesus refers to the Holy Spirit as the Counselor. He said the Holy Spirit “will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” How wonderful! He doesn’t say the Spirit will teach us a few things or some things, but all things. And He says that the Spirit will remind us of everything – not some of the things – Jesus has said to us. That means the Spirit helps me store God’s Word in my heart, understand it with my mind, and apply it to my life. Praise the Lord! What a great and generous God we have. “All this also comes from the Lord Almighty, wonderful in counsel and magnificent in wisdom” (Isaiah 28:29).
