"But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me."
(MICAH 7:7)

Titus 2:11-14
I attended a long-anticipated Christmas performance one December in Williamsburg, Virginia. We came early to get good seats, so we knew we would have to wait awhile before the production began. Awhile turned into a long delay. Eyes riveted on the curtain, we wondered what the cause might be. No one brought forth an explanation, which made waiting more difficult. But when it opened, it was spectacular!

Most of us have experienced this kind of wait – when hoped-for events take longer than expected. We wonder why there seems to be a delay in the answer to our prayer or in God’s activity. He hasn’t come out on stage to explain. Time passes, and we stare at the silent curtain. “What is taking so long? Please, God! Give me a peek so I know You’re doing something!”

Just because you can’t see behind the curtain doesn’t mean God is inactive or absent. He knows your story. He knows you better than you do. Watch! His Gospel story is written; He’s setting the stage. Hope! He is re-enacting it in you and others – while you wait.
