"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though
God were making his appeal through us."
(2 CORINTHIANS 5:20)

Philippians 3:15-4:1
Ludmilla is a widow in Prague, Czech Republic, who survived the Nazi and Communist occupations and realized that what Jesus said is true: “My kingdom is not of this world” (John 18:36). So she had a brass sign made like she saw on the many embassies in the city, hers engraved with the words, “Embassy of the Kingdom of Heaven.” With prayer she hung it beside the front door of her home. People began to show up. She welcomed each one in the name of Jesus and then ministered to their needs by listening, praying and, as the Holy Spirit led, advising.

Ludmilla sees herself as an ambassador of the kingdom of heaven. She’s turned her house into an embassy, representing not an earthly nation, but the kingdom of God where King Jesus reigns.

Isn’t she doing what all of us followers of Christ should be doing – representing heaven’s interest on earth? She advertises the fact that she is part of the greatest kingdom imaginable, the kingdom of heaven. Her home is in
Prague, but her citizenship is in Christ’s kingdom.
