"How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!"
(1 JOHN 3:1)

1 John 2:28-3:3
Sometimes people get stuck on the fact that God is infinite. When our focus is on only one attribute of God, we risk losing sight of God’s other qualities. Recently, someone who was focused on God’s infinite quality alone said, “I have been told that when God looks down on us, He only sees us as little, insignificant ants crawling around.” That is not an uncommon image that people perceive about God. However, it is not at all the way God thinks about us. We are not “ants” to Him, but children! In truth, we are more near and dear to our Father than even our children are to us.

While knowing that God is infinite, remember He is also a Person. He is personal. He is your Father. God relates to us in a person-to-person way, not as God-to-insignificant bug. Jesus always welcomed the children to come to Him. He sat them on His knee, embraced them, hugged them, loved them. He loves you in the same way! He knows every detail of your life; He knows your needs. And your first need is to embrace your Father.
