"You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature;
rather, serve one another in love."
(GALATIANS 5:13)

Galatians 5:13-15
I have been in prison for a while now. I began attending church since I came here, but my mind wasn’t fully on God. I would return to my cell after a church service, thinking about all the sinful things I wanted to do when I get out. I didn’t realize the freedom Christ was offering me would free me from all of those sinful desires.

In 2012 I joined the Divine Hope Reformed Seminary in prison. Since joining the seminary, I have learned so much about what Christ did for me and what He does for you, too. I never used to think about the consequences of my sin until the seminary opened my eyes to the truth.

I am thankful for everything Christ did for me on the cross. I now know that I cannot continue in my sinful ways without repercussions from God. His Word tells us to serve one another. By letting people know about the freedom Christ has given to all of us, I am serving my fellow brothers, and I am serving Christ also. No matter what prison binds you, there is freedom in Christ and opportunity to serve.
