"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see."
(HEBREWS 11:1)

Psalm 42
For years I had put my trust in man, hoping in what he could do for me. I didn’t understand why I shouldn’t put my trust in man. But I have now learned that trusting in man is having hope in the hopeless and having faith in the unfaithful.

As a new creation my hopeless life has been changed and replaced with true purpose and fruitfulness. Real hope comes from God and God alone. I hope in the one true GOD who was, is and ever will be. I was blind to have hope in man who cannot be trusted. Now I see the mercy, goodness, and grace of God. I see that
Jesus Christ – the One who truly cares for me – is, was and will always be for me. And by His stripes I have been healed (see Isaiah 53:5).

As I’ve grown in the Lord even while I am in prison, it has become clear that putting my trust in Him is the best thing I could ever do. Now I live by passages like Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your
paths straight.”
