“But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.”

Psalm 73:28
As the thousands of passengers and flight crew members entered the airport terminal in Gander, Newfoundland, on September, 11, 2001, there was very little information to give about what was happening. The travelers were confused as to why their flights from various locations around the world had suddenly been grounded. “Where are we?” they asked. Even when told they were in Gander, most had no idea where that was. A volunteer obtained a large paper map of the world, taped it to the wall, and drew a red arrow on it pointing to Gander with the words, “YOU ARE HERE.” This simple act of giving people their bearings helped ease tension tremendously.

Did you know that God has given you a “YOU ARE HERE” arrow for your life? You may feel disoriented, off-track, or lost. You’re not sure where you are spiritually. The Bible says we are like sheep gathered up in the arms of the Savior (see Isaiah 40:11). We have been promised that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us (see Hebrews 13:5).

Where are you? YOU ARE HERE, safe with the Savior.
