“He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.”

Psalm 23:3-4
Yosemite National Park offers over 800 miles of hiking trails to choose from. Some trails are family friendly and can be navigated by just about anyone. Others are difficult and should only be traversed by experienced and well-prepared hikers. Though challenging, these trails will lead you to tranquil meadows, delight you with stunning waterfalls, and leave you in awe of the most breathtaking mountain peaks.

In the Scriptures, life is frequently described as following a path. Just as every step moves us toward a destination, every motivation of the heart and every action that flows out of it does the same. Proverbs 4 describes the way of the wicked as one that consumes the individual with evil desires and yields only strife. But “the path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn,” bringing light and warmth as it continues in its route across the sky.

The gospel is that path! By following Jesus, we are constantly led into God’s love. We’re saved from the destruction that the path of the wicked always brings.
