“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”

Ephesians 5:1-2
The most important need today is spiritual. In every age, from the time of man’s fall from favor with God in Eden, controversy between God and people has revolved around the problem of sin.
Old Testament prophet Hosea saw in his generation the great conflict between sin and righteousness. His words were not very encouraging: “The good man has perished out of the earth and there is none upright among man. They all lie in wait for blood.” He goes on to say they “do evil with both hands earnestly” (see ch. 4).
In the book of Ephesians, Paul speaks to his generation. “Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise… because the days are evil” (5:14-16).
To all of us, the day of God’s visitation comes. Hosea says trust not in a friend or relative when the Lord returns. For God alone is the One to turn to and the One who hears you. Shipmate, if you have never been reconciled to God through His Son Jesus Christ, receive Him as your Savior now.
