“The Lord your God is with you. He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you. He will quiet you with his love.”

Zephaniah 3:17
“We pray for those who cannot pray for themselves, especially loved ones who are ever seeking things of this world that will not satisfy. Holy Spirit, please strive with their rebellion and plead with their pride. Fold them into your flock, numbering them as family members and friends.

“Lord, visit those of us who are oppressed in body and troubled in mind. Lay no more upon our suffering than we are able to bear, but temper every trial to the measure of our endurance. Help of the helpless, give us a calm trust that you do all things well. Give us a sustaining hope in you. In your good time and way, grant health and gladness.

“We pray for those whose homes are shadowed by grief from a loved one’s death. May they have entered into your presence triumphantly knowing that their sins have been forgiven and forgotten according to your promise, ‘I will remember your sins no more.’ May they go home peacefully, where being with you eternally is to share something of that which the power of death cannot stop.”
