“They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.”

Psalm 145:5-6
The section of the Pacific Ocean I’ve grown up fishing in southern California is called the “The Bight” (which refers to its concave bend in the coastline). It spans from Point Conception in Santa Barbara County down to the northern tip of Baja Mexico. It’s an ocean area teeming with sea life, offering endless wonders for those who find adventure in the sea. Many anglers will spend their entire lives exploring these waters yet never cover it all.

When we study the Bible and grow in our understanding of who God is, we discover—like the psalmist—that the depth of God’s goodness and righteousness truly has no end (v. 7). We may say God’s love is as vast as the oceans, but even the oceans have an end!

Explore the Scriptures and discover how they reveal God’s character. When you catch a glimpse of His majesty, proclaim it to others. He wants us to see and experience His love and beauty, and then go out and share it. The greatest gift we have to offer a broken world is the good news that there is a God of unending mercy and power.
