“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:10
The transitions of life can be very difficult. After Moses died, the Lord gave reassurance to Joshua who would take up the mantle of leadership. God told Joshua to be strong and courageous, promising him He would be with him wherever he would go. Joshua confidently entered the Promised Land with the power of God’s presence. He was not alone!

Another transition that is very hard is the one from freedom to imprisonment. Bert’s arrest and imprisonment were a shock to his system. But in the county jail, he discovered that he was not alone; God was with him. Bert surrendered his life to Jesus and discovered that the presence of the Lord never left him. Today he makes an impact by being a mentor to individuals with special needs, showing compassion to others as Christ has shown compassion to him.

Have you experienced a transition recently? Perhaps you’ve moved to a new city or started a new job. Although transitions are challenging, remember that the Lord’s presence is with you to provide strength and assistance.
