The Federal Bureau of Investigation is world renowned for its prosecution of high-profile criminals and for its investigation style, intensive raids, and conviction rate. Before they arrest someone, they’ve gathered so much overwhelming evidence that a conviction is almost guaranteed. The FBI is no joke when it comes to law enforcement!
If an organization as thorough as the FBI can scrutinize every detail of a person’s life before the handcuffs even come out, how much more does our omniscient, omnipresent heavenly Father know every detail about us! And while the FBI gets the details wrong sometimes, God never does. He knows us fully. Nothing in all creation is hidden from Him.
We read that “The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. … The LORD looks at the heart” (1 Samuel 16:7). We know from Psalm 139:15 that He has known every part of us and every detail of our lives before we ever were born. That God sees all and knows all is a profound wonder. But the greater marvel is that despite knowing us thoroughly, He loves us still!
