"I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path. Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light for my path."
(PSALM 119:104-105)

Psalm 119:104-112
Solar energy is growing more popular all the time, especially in the sunny southwestern areas of the United States. The elementary school in our neighborhood has large panels installed on its roof. The blazing sun beating on those panels stores enough energy to power computers, lights, sound equipment and other needs of all the teachers and students there. Solar lights along the pathway at my own house ensure that I know where I’m going in the dark and won’t likely stumble over a snake.

As amazing as solar power is, we know the true Light of the World: Jesus Christ. His power goes beyond all of our imagination. His light has gone out to the very ends of the earth. His Word lights the path we walk in a world of darkness and temptation. His faithfulness shines on our spiritual pathways. We might be impressed with stored solar energy, but we can say with greater wonder along with David, “How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you” (Psalm 31:19). Try to grasp how much Jesus loves you!
