“But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

Deuteronomy 4:29
I didn’t hear the biblical gospel of Christ until I was in my 40s. But God was preparing my heart for it. By that time, I had investigated beliefs in the university, in New Age religions, in philosophy, and in other places. All had left me sorely disappointed by inconsistencies, contradictions, confusing ideologies, and lack of answers. I suffered emotional heartache in my relationships, and worldliness failed to satisfy my deep longing.

When I read C.S. Lewis’ Mere Christianity and then was invited to a friend’s church Christmas program, I wept in recognition of the true Jesus. I asked forgiveness of my sins and began a trusting relationship with the God who made me.

Now that I have been a Christian for 20 years, I marvel at how the Bible is perfectly consistent. God revealed Himself in the lives of His people for millennia. He is timeless and in control of all of history. The prophets of the Old Testament made predictions of Jesus, the Messiah, hundreds of years before He came to earth. It is truly miraculous!
