"When you were dead in your sins... God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us... nailing it to the cross."
(Colossians 2:13-14)

Revelation 21:1-7; 7:9-17
In our family I am the expert stain remover. I have a whole range of stain removing aids for clothes, some of them bought brands, some home-spun remedies. I am seldom beaten (although I do shrink from attempting to remove grease stains from favorite silk items!)

Recently our grandson, who was going to a college ball, asked me for advice on how to get a tough stain out of a dress shirt. I sent him my formula, but I also sent him the essence of today’s devotional which I had put in a blog some time ago as it seemed so relevant. He got more than he bargained for!

In the removing of the stains that really matter, there is only one Stain Remover. He removes the very real stains of guilt, blame, polluted characters, wrecked reputations, the deep stains of all sin and sinful tendencies. He not only promises to remove all stains (Isaiah 1:18) however stubborn, but also He restores the fabric of our life as though no staining had ever occurred. Within His walls we wear the white robes of His righteousness.

Insight

He has blotted out our sins-totally expunged them! They no longer exist! That is light years away from my feeble efforts.
