“To all perfection I see a limit; but your commands are boundless. Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.”

Psalm 119:96-97
Contributed by Justus in Uganda: The gospel-centered ministry I work with focuses on our schools in rural Uganda where many families live in poverty and are vulnerable as they face challenges.

We provide care to the children, following the example of the Good Samaritan, who helped the man who had been beaten by robbers and left half-dead on the roadway—a terribly vulnerable place! The Samaritan tended to his wounds, placed him on his animal, brought him to an inn, and paid for his ongoing care.

Many of our students are vulnerable because of poverty. We give Bibles to each student and to their families. The care, nurture, and education that we provide give us openings to share the good news of the gospel.

Our students and staff are immersed in Scripture throughout the year. This past year’s theme verse points to the Author of the gospel, God, who sent His only Son to die for our sins: “My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from him” (Psalm 62:1).

Praise the Lord that in helping the vulnerable, we can share the gospel of Jesus Christ!
