“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, …and you will find rest for your souls.”

Matthew 11:28-29
Do you feel weary? There are times when mental, physical, and spiritual exhaustion overwhelm us. We just need a break. Did you know that you can find true rest for your soul through the words of the Bible? God tells us there about a place of rest—a place we can know in part now and will know fully one day.
From the beginning of creation, God has been showing us how to rest in Him. God even instituted the Sabbath, a day of rest. Many believers observe Sunday as the day of rest, a day set apart to enjoy God and His faithfulness. Reserving the first day of the week for the Lord gives us the strength and wisdom we need for what lies ahead. Our strength is renewed when we rest in Christ.
Often the pressures of life shut out adequate sleep, rest, and meditation on the goodness and faithfulness of God. Do you make time to read the Bible? Each day, draw near to your Savior. Take time each week to rest and worship. Stop running; come to the One who is gentle and humble of heart and will give you rest.
