“After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.”

Acts 1:3
For 40 days the resurrected Jesus appeared not only to His disciples but also to hundreds of others. He ate fresh-caught fish on the shores of Galilee with His friends. He continued to teach about the kingdom of God and to give further instructions prior to ascending into the heavenly realm. He told them that they would receive power from the Holy Spirit and would be His witnesses, carrying the message from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.

While we as believers are called to walk by faith, we are not called to blind faith. There is a firm foundation of historical evidence. There are carefully documented records that can be traced to a period of time. The sites of Jesus’ birth, life, and death are places where millions go to worship and celebrate day after day. The Scriptures support all of this evidence.

Perhaps the most convincing proof is that when we open our hearts to receive Him, He takes up residence in us. We overflow with gratitude to our risen King. Born anew, we live and breathe the very air of the kingdom.
