“We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ.”

Colossians 1:28
My years of ministry began officially in 1964, first as a youth pastor, and over time as a missionary, pastor, and police and hospital chaplain. Now 58 years later, my goal remains the same: to see Jesus come into the lives of His people and help them along the road in becoming perfect, complete, and mature in Christ.

I was thrilled to receive a call a few months ago from an old friend and former U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant. Tim was in our home Bible study during his tour of duty on Okinawa. He called to say, “Dick, remember the verse you pointed out to me on Okinawa? It was Colossians 1:28. I’ve set that as my goal ever since that time back in 1970.” Today, Tim is an active follower of Christ.

Perhaps you would like to ask the Spirit of God to seal this verse in your heart. You can be certain that the good news of the gospel and the radical love of Jesus will transform your life and the lives of others you share it with. Paul carried this message faithfully so that it went to the ends of earth and across time to reach you and me.
