“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you. Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.”

Isaiah 26:3-4
Could you describe your life as one of “perfect peace”? God wants us to trust Him alone as our eternal Rock. No matter what the circumstances, our confidence in Him ought to yield perfect peace. Yet many of us struggle with this.

I was doing a ride-along with a police officer one night when he pulled into a parking lot, kept his squad car idling, looked at me, and said, “I have no peace. What’s the solution?” He shared the difficult happenings in his life and expected an answer from me.

I offered him several simple Bible truths and said, “What do you think?” He said, “I think I should try a prayer,” and so we did. With a renewed mind-set, change slowly began to happen. His life began to take on meaning that only God could provide. To this day he walks with the Lord, his biblical values guiding him and giving him a fresh sensitivity to others.

You may have all the tools for growing spiritually but still long for peace. Trust the God who made you and who has designed your circumstances. He will see you through.
