“In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your path straight.”

Proverbs 3:6
I have several grandchildren in their 20s in the Millennial and Gen Z generations. Questions about the future loom large on their horizon. The philosophies which mark today’s culture lend more confusion than certainty, presenting them with a dynamic world confused about God, church, morality, and faith. It will take resistance to turn from the world’s pathway and have a fresh start on the path of faith. Even children who have been brought up in the Christian faith must make their own decision for Christ in adulthood.

The light of Scripture illuminates the way of righteousness so that crooked places can be made straight. The fear of the Lord gives wisdom for making right choices. Jesus, the Cornerstone of our faith, provides a firm foundation. He taught that everyone who hears His Word and puts it into practice is like a wise man who builds his house on a rock. The storms of life will come, but those firm in Christ will not be shaken.

Do these ideas sound old-fashioned? The unchanging Word of the Lord stands the test of time.
