“He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.”

Revelation 21:7
If you focus on your feet when you’re running a race, it’s easy to quit. Concentrate on the finish line instead if you want to win. For the race of the Christian life, God has given you a vivid picture to fix your eyes on: the glory that awaits us one day with Him.

John had a vision in which he saw the new creation, the world re-made after the return of Christ. In this new world, God lives with His people. There will never be an opportunity for sin or suffering again. Every sad and painful event will not only end, but also tears will be wiped away by His loving hand.

This inheritance is not for those who are perfect, nor is it for those who deny their sin. God promises that this inheritance was won by Jesus, through His satisfactory sacrifice and His triumphant resurrection. It is given to those who know they are sinners and turn to Him for forgiveness and grace. To those who come to Jesus, He gives eternal life.

He is coming again! His promises are trustworthy. Your victory at the end of the race is found in Him.
