“‘No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,’ declares the LORD.”

Isaiah 54:17
“In two decades behind bars, I have been attacked by the adversary more times than I can count. I know that daily he will use anything or anyone as a weapon against me. Christ, however, has a different agenda for my journey with Him and keeps me safe and secure. In this way I can be about the business I know I am here for: fulfilling the Great Commission. I thank my heavenly Father for His unconditional love which grants me this security. I am so thankful for the shed blood of Jesus which is more powerful than any weapon the adversary could dream up to use against me.”

You may be acquainted with weapons forged against you, things that hinder your walk with God. Is it financial stress? Illness? World pandemic? Jealousy of those around you? Pride? Crumbling relationships? Apathy? The despondency of a prison sentence?

Be encouraged. The Lord has a message of comfort for you: “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed” (v.10).
