“They sang a new song, 'You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe, language, people and nation.'”

Revelation 5:9
What a magnificent song to be sung! A song declaring our Savior’s worth, a song that marvels at a God who is for people of every tribe and tongue. No man-made efforts to create diversity or build sensitivity amongst races comes near to the kingdom glory John wrote of in the book of Revelation.

Two years ago I became aware of the work of an organization called International Needs, a worldwide network intent on helping Christians share the gospel in their own countries and communities. I have been providing volunteer legal assistance for IN and have seen in the process the beauty of the gospel going out to “every tribe and language and people and nation.”

The last seven days of this month’s Anchor devotions were written by various International Needs Christians serving around the globe. As you read next week, be encouraged that the message of salvation in Jesus is going out. It is effective and transformational in our own hearts, neighborhoods, cities, and country. But it is also touching hearts in the far reaches of this world.

Is the Lord prompting you to consider mission work?
