"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome is the Lord Most High, the great King over all the earth!"
(PSALM 47:1-2)

Psalm 104
A gentle rainfall – even a steady downpour that doesn’t outstay its welcome – can be among the most soothing of sounds, often sweetly breaking into our usual routines and changing the texture of our days. Other sounds land deep within our souls as well: a waterfall rushing, birds calling, a loved one’s heart beating close by, geese honking, crickets chirping, cows mooing, waves crashing and lapping the shore, the wind rustling, a child laughing, a fire crackling, someone special saying our name, a cat meowing, sometimes peace and quiet prevailing… and add your own favorite accompaniment.

These everyday sounds that surround us are melodious touches from the Lord, displaying His grace, lulling our souls, restoring us with a sense of inner harmony as we’re reminded of His sovereignty over all His creation. It’s His natural “music to our ears,” and the concert is free. For that and for the countless other blessings with which He softly seasons our lives, He deserves our most wholehearted
standing ovation.
