“Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men.”

John 1:3-4
Keith was the first person baptized at New Life Prison Community church. Later he told us the back story of how he almost didn’t make it to that point. He’d rolled up to the mailbox in his wheelchair one night, ready to send his wife a letter that explained why he was about to take his life. But he could hear praise songs inside, so he went to the New Life group instead. By His Spirit, God interrupted Keith’s plan and restored his joy. Keith never did mail the letter because he saw that his life was worth living and that he had purpose in Christ.

God has brought many a person from a life of sin to life in Him. The Holy Spirit can move someone considering suicide to live for Jesus instead. We each have been given a story to tell. It’s a story of redemption, of being saved from death to life, from darkness to light. In Christ the lost have been found!

Tell others about how God has moved you from darkness to light and from death to life. Life is decidedly worth living when we discover the depth of Jesus’ love for us.
