“‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.’”

Luke 2:14
Ebenezer Scrooge had never seen the likes of the ghost of Christmas Present. The winsome ghost said, “Know me better,” so that Scrooge’s life might be changed through their time together. No wonder Scrooge needed to know him better; those qualities of love, joy, and generous giving were missing in his own life. The same spirit of love, joy, and generosity in Scrooge’s surprise visitor remind us of the heavenly choir who came on that first Christmas so long ago.

The shepherds had never before seen the likes of an angel-army choir. It was the most wondrous birth announcement mankind had experienced! One angel appeared in the glory of the Lord to bring the news and to calm the fear which gripped the shepherds. Heaven could not contain the multitude of angels that soon joined the first heavenly messenger in joyous praise for the magnificent incarnation—Jesus, born in Bethlehem!

The angels rejoiced as the heart of God was reaching out in love, joy, and peace to mankind. May we be inspired to praise Him, too!
