“To the faithful you show yourself faithful…. You, O LORD, keep my lamp burning; my God turns darkness into light.”

Psalm 18:25a, 28
I always wanted to be a writer. My early memories are of life in Nigeria with my missionary parents, my mother sharing with children and their mothers. She’d sing hymns to me as she settled me in for the night. These memories locked in a life theme: I would write about Jesus.
Later, I was drafted at my church in Canada to be a substitute teacher one Sunday. At only 13 and with no time to prepare, I suspected it was a recipe for disaster. Instead it was a doorway: I would be a writer and a teacher of children.
I had a rich and rewarding career after Bible school training. I was challenged to be creative, to work in various churches, and to travel across North America doing teacher training, crafting lessons throughout the week and teaching on Sunday. Then God gave me the added blessing of Anchor editing for 32 years. My heart is full of thanksgiving for my life with Jesus. Now retired, I am still teaching children at church! God has been my ever- present help, and I pray that His steadfast love will guide your steps, too, and keep your lamp burning.
