“God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer. Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me!”

Psalm 66:19-20
At the age of 16, I was kicked out of high school for selling drugs and for assault. Eventually, I got my GED, but only barely. For a long time I felt I simply was not smart enough to pray. I’d hear other people pray, and they sounded so godly, so well-versed in Scripture, so smart! Then I would go to pray, and I couldn’t find the words at all. Can you relate to that?

All those who belong to Jesus can learn to pray well. Anyone—a CEO or a three-time felon— can remember six things. You’ll find that when God calls you to pray for His will to be done, you speak to Him about it in a thousand different ways. But for now, keep it simple. Six petitions, one prayer. Anyone can learn it!
