“From infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 3:15
For the past few years my wife Amy and I have studied to become certified biblical counselors. In contrast to secular therapy models or hybrid Christian counseling models, biblical counseling affirms that the Bible is both inspired and sufficient in itself to address the (non-medical) problems of life, to make us “wise for salvation.” We have learned so much about the Lord, Scripture, and ourselves through our training.
About a year ago we finally got to put into practice what we learned as we began officially counseling others. When people are committed to the Lord and His Word, change does not always happen overnight, but in time we do indeed see that Jesus changes everything. We have been privileged to witness Jesus Christ changing hearts and strengthening marriages as we have discussed the Scriptures together.
Never doubt that the Lord cares for you. He gave His Son to save you, and His Spirit to call, comfort, and guide you. His Word gives you wisdom as you grow in Him and in His body, the church.
