“Then Jesus declared, ‘I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.’”

John 6:35
The gospel tract that led me to Christ did not provide enough knowledge. I had a sudden deep hunger for God’s Word, and I needed to explore what this tract said He had done for me.

I felt true joy and I wanted to share my newfound faith with my family, friends, and strangers. When I connected with the Navigators organization, my knowledge of the Bible increased tremendously. I began to memorize many important Scripture verses so that I could share the gospel clearly.

I felt that God had given me faith to leave Buddhism and instead rest firmly in His precious promises. As a Buddhist I had been driven to live a “good life” by doing good things and not stealing, killing, or telling lies. I worked out my own salvation through meditation and seeking to rid myself of evil thoughts. But I never could reach perfection doing so.

Christian faith comes not out of our own efforts. When the Holy Spirit comes to live in your heart, you see that you never again are hungering and thirsting to be perfect. Jesus lived the perfect life for you!
