“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’”

John 14:6
At one point several years ago, I was simultaneously coaching cross-country, leading elementary running clubs, and planning the routes for a bike event that my husband and I directed. A significant part of my days was spent planning and marking out routes. I’d run or walk the courses myself with chalk or paint in hand, making big arrows whenever there was a turn. I wanted to ensure that no participants would take a wrong turn and get lost. As I marked out those routes, I prayed that God would use me to point young athletes to Jesus the way the arrows on the pavement gave them guidance on the course.

If we’re disciples of Jesus, we know that He is the way, the truth, and the life. We’re called to share that truth with others. D.L. Moody once said, “When a man is filled with the Word of God, you cannot keep him still. If a man has got the Word, he must speak or die.”

We can’t help but point others to Jesus because we know Him intimately and have experienced the grace of His forgiveness. Our very lives leave a path that leads others to Him.
