“Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.”

Psalm 103:20-21
Angels care about us. A huge crowd of them joined the angel of Advent after his announcement, singing praises to God. When Peter spoke of the prophets who foretold Jesus’ coming, he said the angels long to look into these things (1 Peter 1:12). God’s plan of salvation thrills all of heaven. The angels were excited to see it begin to unfold at Advent, and they rejoice still today every time an individual comes to believe in Jesus.

Because God’s glory and majesty are so great, the angels who spend time in His presence cannot help but praise Him. But His plan to send His own Son to save sinful, rebellious humans so reflects His mercy that they are overcome anew with spontaneous praise.

Angels are all around us to protect us, so we are never alone. But we should never feel unloved or unimportant, either. The heavenly host is forever praising God because of what Jesus did for you personally, when He died on the cross for your sins and rose again to glory. You mean that much to God. Let’s join the angels in praising Him!
