Contributed by a believer in an Asian country: Through our house fellowship ministry in partnership with International Needs in several villages of my home country, God has used His healing power to open doors for us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with our neighbors.
One man from our community, who was from a poor family, endured mental illness for many years. Because of these problems, he sold all of his property to pay for medical care, which he sought from doctors and even from a witch doctor. As a result, not only was he not healed, he also became financially destitute and experienced severe physical problems. In some ways he was like the woman in Luke 8 who sought healing from Jesus.
After we shared the gospel with him and he accepted Jesus as both his Lord and Savior, God healed him of his mental illness! He is now a fully functioning member of the community. His very visible healing has opened opportunities for our house fellowship ministry to heal hearts as we share how God changes us through the gospel.
