“He made known His ways to Moses…”

Psalm 103:7a
Did you know that God revealed the gospel to Moses? Even in the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve had sinned, God promised a Savior, the woman’s offspring, saying to Satan (who tempted through the serpent), “He will crush your head, and you will strike his heel”(Genesis 3:15). And when the Lord revealed the law to Moses, He revealed not only His character but also the works that Jesus would accomplish for us.
Truly there are many references to Christ in the biblical books Moses wrote: the garden; the lives of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the priest-king, Melchizedek; the flood and Noah’s ark; the Passover lamb; the bread from heaven; and even the tent in which God met Moses!
Since the beginning of the Bible, God’s revelation of His ways points us to Jesus who Himself gave us this example when, “Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself” (Luke 24:27). How thankful we are that the whole Bible calls out the name of Jesus who came to save us! [Mark, Detroit, MI; first year student]
