“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

Jeremiah 29:11
Some of us love planning. When doing errands, I like to plan my route to conserve gas or write my shopping list to correspond with the store’s layout. As satisfying as these kinds of things may be, our little plans don’t compare to God’s magnificent plans.

He formed the entire universe of the sun, moon, stars, animals, all of nature, mankind … everything right down to the tiniest one-celled organism. And then He balanced it in delicate ecosystems. Creation provides a mighty witness to God’s design.

Surely God is the master planner. In the book of Jeremiah, we read of God’s plans to bring His people home to Israel and to prosper them. He reveals His intentions to give them hope and a future. His greatest design of all is the plan that sent His Son Jesus to rescue us from the sin which separates us from Him. Anyone who truly repents of their sins and asks forgiveness through Jesus Christ is reconciled to God to live with Him forever in heaven. Do you want the perfect plan for your life? It’s there for you in Jesus.
