“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.’”

Matthew 28:18-19
Throughout this month we’ve looked at the simple directions God gives us to be a part of His team. We come to Him in faith, grow in faith, and assume our place in His kingdom work.
Now we must “Go!” The resurrection of Jesus from the dead underscores His absolute authority. He bids His disciples to go and preach salvation to others. That’s a primary job of His Church even to this day. When we, His followers, take this calling seriously, the world benefits! The Great Commission teaches that the power and authority for this missionary task are given through the risen Christ to each of us. We must go—whether near or far—and give witness of the new life we have.
The once-timid disciples became heroes of faith who “turned the world upside down” (see Acts 17:6) and even died for the cause of Christ. Would you follow in those footsteps? Are you ready to share the plain, uncomplicated Word of hope to a world desperately in need of Jesus? Remember that He is with you always, “to the very end of the age” (v. 20).
