My husband has come to realize through the years that I am quite good at sharing except when it comes to dessert… especially ice cream! In that moment, not even the person I love the most is going to get more than an extremely small bite.
The gospel, however, is not meant to be hoarded like a favorite dessert. Jesus didn’t come to live in this sin-tainted world, go to Calvary, suffer a grueling death, and carry the weight of our sins in order for us to pick and choose who should hear His message. He didn’t leave the glory of heaven so that we would discriminate to whom we’d carry His truth. There are people in your world right now who need to hear of the hope and love of Jesus.
Share the most valuable treasure you possess. Don’t keep it to yourself. Rather, unwrap the gift of the gospel of Jesus and share it with someone today. Perhaps you’ll talk with someone in your family or neighborhood, at the gym or at the store, on an airplane or on a business trip. Choose to share freely what has been freely shared with you!
