“From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.”

John 1:16
The heavy burdens of life often pull us down. But when our transforming Savior is on the scene, the upward power of grace replaces the downward pull of gravity. From His fullness we receive grace upon grace—the sum total of everything God has, is, and can do. Where one grace ends, when one is no longer needed, when situations change, God gives another grace-filled blessing.

A story goes that three horsemen were riding across the desert and crossed a dry riverbed. They heard a voice say, “Halt!” They were told to dismount, pick up a handful of pebbles, and put them in their pockets. They obeyed and remounted their horses. The voice then said, “You have done as I commanded. Tomorrow at sunrise you will be both glad and sorry.” Mystified, they rode on. The next day their pockets were filled with rubies, diamonds, and gems. They were indeed glad! But they also regretted that they had not taken more.

Whatever is pulling you down—guilt, sorrow, loneliness, temptation, fear—grab hold of all the abundant grace Jesus has for you.
