"Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered."
(PSALM 32:1)

In my case, Jesus used my divorce to save me and make me a new man. In 2005 I turned to Him completely. That year I met Amy at church. We married in 2007, and God has blessed us in our marriage ever since.
Except in a very limited number of situations, divorce is a sin. But… if the Bible teaches that Jesus is a Friend of Sinners (and it does!), and if the Bible can be trusted (and it can!), then Jesus is a Friend to those caught in any sin, even divorce. If Jesus can forgive a murderer like Paul, then we need to accept the truth that Jesus can (and does) forgive a sinner who repents over a failed marriage. His grace is sufficient to cover over all of our sin.

Insight
WE MUST NEVER EXCUSE SIN, BUT WHERE IT IS CONFESSED AND REPENTED OF, WE TOO MUST BE WILLING TO LOVE AND FORGIVE AS JESUS HAS.
