“Your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

Colossians 3:3b-4

I’d been reading Anchor for a few years and listening to Charles Morris on the HAVEN Today program for a long time, so I was excited when I met both Charles Morris and the Anchor editor in a restaurant near my home last year. They seemed to be having a meeting and had several Anchor copies on their table, so I walked up and introduced myself.
I keep a journal and often quote from Anchor about “loving lavishly right now!” I want to do this! Sometimes the Anchor addresses issues in my own life, and it is as if God is speaking directly to me. On 7/4/16 I read, “An identity that is founded in anything but Christ leads to insecurity. But because you are hidden with Christ in God, you are forever IN security.” Since I come from an insecure background, this is awesome to hear.
Two or three mornings a week, a few of my friends come to my house so that we can read Anchor and the Bible together and then talk about it. We sit around the kitchen table relishing our time with Jesus and encouraging each other, ending with prayers for the day ahead.
