“Therefore, my dear friends… continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.”

Philippians 2:12-13

Haven Ministries has been a part of life for my wife Sandy and me for 22 years. In our home you’ll find numerous saved Anchor copies, various books and CDs from Haven, and a New Testament sent in commemoration of Haven’s 70th anniversary. Often my wife and I pass these items along to friends and people we meet.
Each morning I begin my devotional reading with the Scripture and message from the day’s Anchor. No matter where the day may find me—on the mountaintop or in a deep valley—my spiritual life is enriched by the time I’ve finished the page. The perspective from which each author writes varies widely, but I come away strengthened and enlightened by what they have spoken into my spirit. The Scriptural truth they have lived and share is a powerful antidote to the lies from the world, the flesh, and the devil which so frequently threaten to discourage me.
Anchor never fails to encourage me and to better enable me to keep working out my own salvation with fear and trembling, increasingly confident that “It’s All About Jesus.”
