“This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.”

Ezekiel 37:5
Most of us are acquainted with times of mental, emotional, or physical drought. Sometimes we dry up by neglect. We might rationalize our soul’s starvation by our worldly ambitions. We may become passive and routine in our worship. Loss of hunger for the Lord is a silent killer.

My testimony in my art is God’s reviving goodness. We thrive as we take in more and more of Him. Even dry bones as in Ezekiel 37 are acknowledged by and answer to their Creator. Christian artists are patiently taught this lesson once and often as we use our art to bring attention to God. We hold up His truth in ever-new ways in His outpouring abundance. Without the invigorating sustenance of Jesus, we wither. His Living Water flows from us when we do not forfeit closeness with Him.

I am so thankful for His lessons in this while going through several recuperations after surgeries. I was physically limited and confined for months. Ample time for study and prayer, as well as some suffering, taught me that our sanctification continues through seemingly dry times.
