“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in us, to him be the glory… for ever and ever!”

Have you ever said, “That’s impossible” of something that later came to be? God has come down to do in you immeasurably more than you could ask or imagine to do the impossible.

So how much are you able to imagine? Alexander the Great’s position was about to be lost. He implored a young soldier to fight harder, adding, “And if we survive this attack, I’ll see that you are rewarded handsomely.” They survived. Alexander gave him an impression of the royal seal and said, “Take this to the treasurer for your payment.”

“How much shall it be?” asked the soldier.

“Ask for whatever amount you think appropriate. It will be paid.” The soldier gave the seal to the royal treasurer, naming an enormous sum. The treasurer returned to camp and told Alexander of the outlandish request. Alexander replied, “Pay him. He honors me with the size of his request.”

We have a King who was born in humility, yet holds the world in His hands. He holds you, too, and is working within you by His Spirit to accomplish what is beyond your wildest dreams.
