“Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth—everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”

Isaiah 43:6-7
No one is immune to adversity in this life. How do you face tomorrow when you step from one heartache to another? How do you live “the life we never wanted”? You live it for Christ! You live the life the Father has given you for His glory. You rest in the fact that you are living securely in His will, safe even in the eye of the storm, your trust anchored in Him.

Friends, you are exactly where He wants you to be. God is not wringing His hands over the circumstances of our lives. So we press on, confident in His providence and care. We look for the glimmers of hope; we take joy in the renewal that comes after the rain stops and the winds die down. God has orchestrated all things in our lives, especially the tragedies, so that as we endure, He uses them for His glory and our good.

Our plans may have come to an end, but the Lord’s did not. Christ is faithful to see us through, regardless of whether or not we understand or agree to where He is taking us. And the truth is that we do know that each step brings us closer to our heavenly home.
