"Then he turned to his disciples and said privately, 'Blessed are the eyes that see what you see.'"

Luke 10:23
Sometimes I think I would love to have lived during the times of the Old Testament events. Imagine being an eyewitness to the parting of the Red Sea, to the fall of Jericho, or to Elijah calling down fire from heaven. Imagine living in New Testament times and observing the many miracles of Jesus, His resurrection, or His ascension. Just the thought of it can take your breath away. Jesus told the disciples that prophets and kings desired to see the things they were privileged to see. What a blessing for the disciples to witness the fulfillment of what was foretold in the Law, the Psalms and the Prophets!
Yet there is something very special about living in this age also. God has revealed His whole story to us in the Bible. We can turn the pages of Scripture to relive each part. We can see how it all fits together. More importantly, we can discover the significance of it for our lives today. Grab your Bible and a concordance, and look up “resurrection.” Then enjoy the blessings that God reveals to you in His Word.
