“The harvest is past, the summer has ended, and we are not saved.”

Jeremiah 8:20
These are sobering words from the prophet Jeremiah, and they cause me to reflect on the many people I know and of the multitudes beyond my knowing who are not saved. Whether because they have never heard of the love of Christ, or because they simply have rejected Him, they do not belong to the family of God.
Jeremiah was crushed as he realized the judgment of God was beginning to come down on Judah. His people had grown comfortable in their own wickedness, and they needed to wake up. It tore Jeremiah apart to see God’s people reject the One who had saved them. Do you too carry that weight with you as you see friends and family members reject Christ?
We are called to pursue others with Jesus’ love before it’s too late. How do we do this? First, confirm your own relationship with Christ. Second, pray for ways to offer your faith to those who need this message. Third, ask God for the courage to deliver His words to them. Fourth, believe God will bless your efforts and that the Holy Spirit will work in His time.
